When a father of three boys has his right foot amputated, they are all in for a surprise when the severed appendage has regrown the following morning. The doctor calls it a miracle with no medical explanation. Unfortunately, the old man is a careless drunk and injures the same foot soon after. The second time the foot does not grow back, but he decides to marry his foreign caretaker seizing life while he still has the chance. His boys are not overly excited about the marriage, and they all handle matters in their own way. It is not until their father’s death that oldest boy realizes his true feelings toward his dad.
