Theodore Dewey, Bail Agent, attends jewel thief Jack Niedekker in jail offering him a Gentleman's Agreement: they bond him and he gives them two valuable paintings as deposit, as well as 10% of the stolen jewelry. Reluctantly, he agrees to sign. Now all the bail agents need to do is find out where the stolen jewelry is stashed - before the police do.
