Susan has been terrified of clowns for no reason since she was a small child. Her fear irritated her parents; her friends were cruel about it. Eventually, her drunken ex-husband had publicly humiliated her over the issue. Now, her five-year-old daughter is determined to have a clown at her birthday party. Just picturing the horrifying individual sends Susan into tears, but she is a grown woman. It is time to get over her terror for her daughter. With shaking hands, she calls Skiddle the clown.
