Mama sends me to the store in the rain for day-old bread and Pepto. Some lemon-flavoured salted apricots for me. My retarded auntie behind the counter tells me I shouldn't have done it. She's talking about the drunk I attacked with a stick for messing around out back with her. The same lone drunk still slumped out front when I return for my bicycle.
