Christine attends a tribute to her old college professor, Ivan Borysenko, with whom she studied playwriting, at the age of 19. She hasn't seen him in 15 years and was surprised to receive the invite. As she watches the evening unfold amongst writers, directors and actors at the after-party, as well as Ivan's wife and daughter, she reflects on the oddly intense relationship she once shared with him.
